Join Durham Literacy Center and DINE
for a morning of food, family, and fun.
Book & Cook is a family literacy program where parents and children learn together through reading and cooking— strengthening literacy skills while building confidence, connection, and healthy habits at home.
Bring the kids for a read aloud from select children's books, learn about healthy eating options, and participate in cooking demonstrations.
Participating families will each receive a copy of the featured book and ingredients to make the recipe to take home with them.
(space is limited, but we will have sessions on the
3rd Saturday of each month through December)
