At the Durham Literacy Center, we grieve the murder of George Floyd and the many other people who lost their lives at the hands of police. We condemn the violence and inequality that Black and Brown people experience here in Durham and across the nation.

We are proud of our community's efforts to address racist systemic structures that keep Black and Brown people living in poverty and fear, yet we know that much more work needs to be done.

Join Durham Literacy Center's staff, volunteers, students, and their families for a very special ceremony to celebrate our fall 2019 graduating class. This event will take place in the Fellowship Hall at Durham Nativity School on Tuesday, November 19th at 6:00 PM and is open to the public.
