ESOL Student Registration

Registration for Spring 2023 ESOL classes has closed.
Use the link below to be added to waitlist.

We will continue online classes for upper level classes for the Spring semester, and will offer in-person classes for other levels.  Enrollment in in-person classes will be limited due to space available.

Registration for Spring ESOL classes closed Friday, January 27, 2023.  If you would like to be waitlisted, complete the form below, check your email for information on testing, and we will let you know by February 3 if there is room in a class.

FORMER STUDENTS: If you do not have a computer or Internet, we will try to help you.

NEW STUDENTS: We welcome NEW students, but you must have access to a computer or other device and Internet access for online classes. An N95 mask will be required to attend in-person classes, and class size will be limited due to social distancing.

If you have any questions or would like more information, you can learn more about ESOL student registration by joining our Facebook group, ESOL @ Durham Literacy (Click here!), or email us at

Once you have registered for classes, please check your email regularly for more information on testing and the start of classes.

What to expect:

If you would like to enroll in our English classes, please fill out the registration form. After you register, you will receive additional information about testing. All new students will be required to complete a placement test before beginning testing.

During the testing process, you will take an online English language test and complete a short interview with program staff to help us decide which class will best meet your needs.  We will let you know when your class will start meeting and what technology you will need to access your class.
