Adult Literacy & ESOL Orientation/ Registration Dates for Tutors & Students

Our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program has completed student registrations for classes that take place at the DLC building at 1905 Chapel Hill Road. We now have a wait list for our Fall 2019 classes. Our off-site classes at El Centro Hispano and East Durham Children's Initiative (EDCI) will register new and returning students in early September. Learn more by clicking here. We have filled all of our volunteer instructor slots for the semester. Please contact us if you would like to assist ESOL students in completing online job applications, creating resumes, and completing other job-related tasks in our computer lab.

Our Adult Literacy program has completed student orientations for incoming students and is now adding people to a wait list. While our volunteer orientations are also completed for this program for the Fall 2019 semester, we are still seeking some volunteers for Adult Literacy's pre-GED academic reading and GED/HiSET tutoring. Learn more about these and other volunteer opportunities by clicking here.
